The Stanford Challenge is sustaining a foundation of excellence, even as we move in bold new directions. Given the size of our endowment compared to the size and breadth of the institution, maintaining our existing excellence will require the investment of new resources. The Stanford Challenge is a comprehensive campaign that encompasses objectives across the university, including all seven schools, all of our centers and institutes, our athletics program, and the libraries. Important and potentially transformative teaching and research is going on in literally every corner of the university, and every gift of any size to any area of Stanford through December 31, 2011, will help fufill The Stanford Challenge.
